Robert J. Fitzsimmons Jr. was born and raised in the Westerleigh section of Staten Island. He attended Blessed Sacrament, Monsignor Farrell High School and is a graduate of Marist College where he earned a BS degree in business administration. After graduating Marist College, he joined the family business with a true passion for real estate and today is the Vice-President of Gateway Arms Realty Corp.
Working in the field full time for nineteen years, Robert specializes in commercial sales & leasing of investment properties such as apartment buildings, office buildings, industrial & manufacturing and retail shopping centers. Furthermore, he leads the Property Management Division at Gateway Arms Realty, including the construction project management team.
Robert Fitzsimmons, Jr. has always been committed to giving back to the community and has been involved with several different organizations over the years. He is an active Board Member of Eden II, a member of the New York Association of Realtors, The Staten Island Board of Realtors, and International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. Being an active member of the SI Chamber of Commerce since 1997, Robert in that time has served on several committees, chaired events, has been elected to the Board of Directors and served the Executive Board level as Secretary and Treasurer. Robert has also been an active member of the SIEDC since 2004, Robert served the SI HUB Program as a Broker/Owner and held the membership positions of Ambassador, Cabinet & most recently the Land & Buildings Council over the past 11 years. Recently, Robert prides himself on being instrumental in the acquisition of the former Staten Island Savings Bank properties located in Stapleton for the future campus of Eden II Programs.
In recognition of his services to the community, Robert J. Fitzsimmons Jr. has received numerous awards including the SIEDC Small Business Award (2004), the St. Rock’s Circle of Love award (2008) and the S.I. Chamber of Commerce Recognition of Service award (2010).
Aside from being an adept real estate professional holding designations such as SRES & CBR, Robert prides himself on the integrity of his work. With strong contacts in the real estate industry, he pays strict attention to the most minor of details and sees every one of his deals through with precision.
