St. George- A Great Place to Live

StGeorgeTo no surprise, St. George Staten Island is the most populated neighborhood in Staten Island. It’s the cultural epicenter of the Island filled with artists who want to live close to New York City without having to pay big city prices. Whatever you are in the mood for, there’s always something fun and exciting to see and do when living in St. George.  Below we’re highlighting just a few:

Richmond County State Ballpark

Home to the Staten Island Yankees, the Richmond County State Ballpark is affectionately known as the “baby bombers.” Used for concerts and other special events and of course, America’s Pastime, there’s not a bad seat in the house. Just a short walk from the Staten Island Ferry’s St. George Terminal, the stadium sits feet from New York Harbor, and fans can see the Manhattan skyline from their seats.

St. George Theatre

The magnificent St. George Theatre has been around since the 1920s. It was originally constructed as a vaudeville stage and movie palace attracting many top talents. This 1,800 seat venue received a much-needed face-lift in 2014 and continues to attract international starts and local talent- host to world-class concerts and plays. Offering events almost every weekend you can find out more about the St. George Theatre here.

Family Friendly Environment

Many families choose to live in the St. George area because of the high-quality schools, the quiet night-life and the many attractions that make it the perfect place to raise a family. Most notably, the 9,000 acres of green space makes Staten Island the greenest of any other borough. Waterfront Transformation

Staten Island’s waterfront will be transformed with the construction of the largest observation wheel in the Western Hemisphere set to open in 2017. Also in the works is the Waterfront Redevelopment Project including a new retail complex and hotel on two sides adjacent to the Richmond County Bank Ballpark.
